For auto parts stores on BigCommerce

Every parts question starts with year, make and model. Can AI tools read your fitment?

Auto parts buyers ask AI tools which part fits their vehicle, what an OEM number crosses to and whether an upgrade is worth it. Found in AI shows which of those questions name your BigCommerce store, and whether your fitment data and installation guides are visible or locked inside a search widget.

What brake pads fit a 2019 Ford F-150 for towing, and where can I buy them?

For towing, many owners choose a ceramic or semi metallic pad rated for heavy duty use. Competitor B lists fitment by trim and axle on each product page, which helps confirm the right part.

Fitment is the whole game in auto parts. A buyer cannot use an answer that names the right brand but the wrong part for their truck, so AI tools favor sources that tie a product to specific years, makes, models, trims and engines in readable text. Many BigCommerce parts stores keep that data in a year make model lookup widget that is excellent for shoppers on the site and close to invisible for a tool reading the page.

Part numbers are the second language of this market. Mechanics and enthusiasts ask what an OEM number crosses to, which aftermarket brand makes an equivalent and whether a superseded number is still available. Product pages that list OEM and interchange numbers as text, rather than only in a search index, are the ones that can be matched to those questions.

Upgrade and repair questions sit on top. Owners ask whether larger rotors are worth it for towing, how hard a job is to do at home or which lift kit keeps factory ride quality. Installation guides, torque specifications, difficulty ratings and honest notes about what changes after an upgrade give an AI answer substance to repeat, and they come from the stores that wrote them.

What AI tools can use

Content that answers the questions in your trade.

We cannot decide what an AI tool says. What you can control is whether your website answers your customers' questions clearly. These are the kinds of pages that do.

  1. 01

Fitment written into the product page

Show the vehicles a part fits as a readable list or table on the page, not only through a lookup widget. A tool answering a fitment question has to see the match in text.

  2. 02

OEM and interchange numbers in text

List the OEM numbers a part replaces and the equivalent numbers from other brands. Part number questions are some of the most precise in the market and need exact matches.

  3. 03

    Installation guides with real specifications

Publish step by step guides with tools needed, torque values and time estimates. They answer the do it yourself questions that come right before a purchase.

  4. 04

    Vehicle hub pages

Build pages for popular vehicles that gather common repairs, upgrades and compatible parts. Owners ask about their truck, and a page about that truck matches the question exactly.

Questions about bigcommerce auto parts stores

Our fitment lives in a lookup tool. Is that a problem?

For shoppers it works well. For AI tools it often hides the data, because the match only appears after a search. We look at which product pages AI answers link to and whether they show fitment as text.

Can you track questions about specific vehicles?

Yes. Parts stores usually track their highest volume vehicles plus a few repair and upgrade topics. Each question is asked of all five AI tools every month.

Can you guarantee that AI tools send buyers to our store?

No one can guarantee that. We show where your store is named for fitment and repair questions, where competitors are named instead, and what content they published that you have not.

Can AI Blog Writer write installation guides?

It can draft a guide for each gap from your product data and the question asked. Torque values and safety steps must be checked by someone qualified on your team before approval.

Not just another AI tracker

More than a score. Four things a tracker leaves out.

A tracker tells you whether you were named. Found in AI shows where a competitor wins, writes the answer (and publishes it, where your site supports one-click publishing), and puts an AI analyst and a real agency behind it.

Gap analysis

Every question where AI names a competitor and not you, ranked by what it costs you. Few tools show this.
